FAQ of EXP8661 Motherboard

I have a Pentium 150MHz CPU on this motherboard and I just wonder if I can upgrade to support MMX?

The EXP8661 can supported MMX CPU, but the motherboard version must after Ver1.11.

How can I use the MMX CPU on this motherboard?

JP5, 6, 7 - Open for Bus frequency 66MHz.

P18, JP19 - setting the Multiplier (CPU Ratio). See manual for the required ratio.

JPA closed , JPA open - Vcore 2.9V

JP22 : pin 1-2 close for VIO 3.3V

For 3.5x ratio, please set it as 1.5x ratio which is the same setting for 3.5x ratio.

No, it doesn't support "Boot from the SCSI".

Why does my motherboard not detect the 32MB memory in the DIMM slot?

The EXP8661 only supports up to 16MB DIMM. This information can be found in the manual.

Can I use DIMM and SIMM together.
