AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) is an interface specification written to provide an interface to high performance graphics engines, enabling a home computer to be used similar to a 3D workstation.

Microsoft has announced to support AGP bus in future releases of both Win95 (OSR2.1, vgartd.vxd from Intel) and NT 4.0 (with Service Pack 3). Other major OS systems should soon announce support for AGP if not already
